Active Projects
- Australian Government reporting
Having obtained endorsement of XBRL as the preferred data transfer standard for public sector reporting, we aim to leverage this to drive adoption of XBRL in some of the key Federal Government agencies in 2005/6.
- Taxonomy Development
We have formed a consortium to develop the Australian extension taxonomy to IFRS.
- Present at conferences, seminars, etc
We are preparing presentations and papers to educate the public on the uses and potential of XBRL.
- XBRL in Assurance
Now that adoption of XBRL is progressing rapidly, the need to provide audit opinions on XBRL data will arise. We have participated in the XBRL International Assurance Working Group (AWG) to help auditors come to grips with the issues and opportunities this presents.
- NZ Cooperation
We have agreed in principle with XBRL NZ to cooperate on a range of issues affecting both countries.
Completed Projects
- Attend International Conference
We attended the 12th International XBRL Conference in Tokyo in November 2005 on behalf of our membership.
- Publish XBRL Accounts
We have published our accounts for the past 3 years in XBRL format. The process for this was rather convoluted due to the immaturity of the software used. We continue to maintain a watching brief on development of XBRL enabled software and will provide updates when we believe tools exist to make production of XBRL versions of accounts as easy as any alternative version.
Progress Reports
The CEO reports to the Facilitators on a regular basis. These are included as links below to give an overview of activity in the past, and a snapshot of progress as at the date of the latest report.
