The Prime Minister and Treasurer have issued a joint press release responding to the Report of the Regulation Taskforce. They have agreed with the main recommendation affecting XBRL - recommendation 6.3 - and have stated funds are available to progress it. The ATO is now working with Treasury officials to bring more agencies into the loop on this. The response to the report, "Rethinking Regulation" is available from the Regulation taskforce website.
